So I just received a question that came through one of my EasyWebinar Auto-Webinar Chat Boxes. This is what the person asked:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat are some ways to promote your upcoming webinar for someone just getting started and has no list and no social media contacts?\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

You\u2019d be surprised how many times I\u2019ve heard this question.\u00a0 As some of you might know, I use Webinars as one of the main sources for selling my products.<\/p>\n

AND when I first started out, I was plagued by this same question.<\/p>\n

But really, this question is more related to \u201cTraffic\u201d which, of course, is the life & blood to an online presence.<\/p>\n

So in this article, I wanted to give some helpful tips on how to drive attendees to your Webinars.<\/p>\n

Tip #1 (PITCH FREE WEBINAR): <\/b>\u00a0If you are brand new to doing Webinars and you have very few followers and no list, then I would suggest you start with doing a Pitch Free Webinar<\/b> where you offer up a gift of extreme value. By doing this you can connect with like-minded people who would potentially cross-promote your free Webinar.<\/p>\n

Why? Because it becomes a win-win situation when big-list owners can send off free and valuable content to their community.<\/p>\n

Essentially you would be doing this to build up a list and your following!<\/p>\n

In fact, if you are new to online marketing then I want you to be ultra-aware of this tip.<\/p>\n

To get any sort of following you need to build up a list of subscribers. Webinars are a terrific way of building up your subscriber list. Incentivize them to join your Webinar by letting them know that you will be giving them a \u201cfree gift\u201d at the Webinar.\u00a0 (Offer up this free gift to them at the end of the Webinar to keep your attendees on for the entire Webinar)<\/p>\n

Think: a template, worksheet, Notion doc, checklist, or mini guide. This does two things:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Gives people a reason to attend<\/li>\n
  2. Encourages others (even those with bigger audiences) to share it<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    You can even ask micro-creators or niche newsletter owners to promote it because it\u2019s actually useful to their audience.<\/p>\n

    Please note:\u00a0 This, of course, is for people who have a product or service already. For those who do not have a product or service, you can promote someone else\u2019s through affiliate links.<\/p>\n

    Tip #2 (Use Live Vide)- <\/b>Instagram Live, YouTube Live, or LinkedIn Live<\/p>\n

    Periscope is gone and Facebook Live isn\u2019t what it used to be. But live video still works.<\/p>\n

    Hop on Instagram Live or LinkedIn Live and talk about the why behind your webinar. What problem does it solve? What will attendees walk away with?<\/p>\n

    Then, drop your webinar link in the chat or your bio.<\/p>\n

    Live video helps people see the face behind the content. Even with zero followers, a great live gets discovered via hashtags or shares.<\/p>\n

    Tip #3 (Create a Facebook Event):<\/b>\u00a0<\/p>\n

    Even if you don\u2019t have a big following, Facebook and LinkedIn Events still show up in feeds. They\u2019re searchable. They\u2019re sharable.<\/p>\n

    Set up your webinar as an event and invite people you know personally. Then DM a few folks asking if they\u2019d be willing to share it with their audience. Make sure the invite emphasizes the free gift and what attendees will learn, not what you\u2019re selling.<\/p>\n

    Pro tip: Engage in the event comments ahead of time. This builds curiosity and social proof.<\/p>\n

    Tip#4 (Meta & YouTube Ads):\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

    Run small ad campaigns (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram). You don\u2019t need a big budget to get started with ads. A few dollars a day can go a long way if your webinar solves a clear problem.<\/p>\n

    Target people by interest or behavior. Send them to your Facebook or LinkedIn Event page, or directly to your EasyWebinar registration page.<\/p>\n

    Short-form videos (like Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts) work best for cold traffic. Keep it simple:<\/p>\n

    Hook with a relatable problem->Tease the transformation->Link to the free webinar<\/p>\n

    Tip #5 (Tap into Niche Communities & Group):\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

    Tap into Niche Communities (Reddit, WhatsApp, Discord, Newsletters). No email list? No problem. Find the places where your audience already hangs out.<\/p>\n

    Reddit threads<\/p>\n

    WhatsApp groups<\/p>\n

    Slack or Discord communities<\/p>\n

    Niche newsletters (you can pitch them for a quick shoutout)<\/p>\n

    Don\u2019t just drop your link, offer something useful first. Join the conversation. Help people. Then share your webinar as a solution.<\/p>\n

    Bonus: Local Market Still Works<\/b><\/p>\n

    Don\u2019t underestimate the power of your local network. Share flyers in co-working spaces, local Facebook Groups, or meetup communities. Offer to speak at local events or partner with nearby businesses who serve your audience.<\/p>\n

    I hope this article has helped in cataloging different traffic strategies to increase your attendee list on your Webinars.<\/p>\n
