Presenting, whether it\u2019s on a stage, a webinar, or a conference call, can literally make or break your pitch.<\/span><\/p>

If you\u2019ve got flat energy, slides that feel like a lecture, or a delivery that drones on, trust me, nobody\u2019s sticking around.<\/span><\/p>

The way you present is what adds that oomph. It\u2019s what makes people lean in, feel something, and actually say yes.<\/span><\/p>

So today, I want to give you 3 brutal truths about presenting that you need to hear. Because if you don\u2019t fix these, your message is dead before it even begins.<\/span><\/p>

  1. Nobody cares about you. They care about what\u2019s in it for them.<\/b><\/li><\/ol>

    Most people start their presentations like this- \u201cHey everyone, I\u2019m so excited to be here. Let me tell you a little bit about myself\u2026\u201dBlah. Blah. Blah.<\/span><\/p>

    By then, you\u2019ve already lost your audience. In reality, you just have about 10 seconds to hook them.<\/span><\/p>

    Instead of rambling on about yourself, try-<\/b>\u201cEver felt like you\u2019re talking but nobody\u2019s listening? That\u2019s because your presentation is broken. Let me show you how to fix it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

    That grabs attention. It sparks curiosity. And it instantly makes people want to hear more.<\/span><\/p>

    1. Your energy sets the room\u2019s energy<\/b><\/li><\/ol>

      If your energy\u2019s down, the room\u2019s energy is down.<\/span><\/p>

      If you\u2019re flat, nervous, and monotone, your audience absorbs that and tunes out. But if you\u2019re dynamic, energetic & unpredictable, they lean in.<\/span><\/p>

      Match your energy to your message. If you\u2019re talking about excitement, urgency, transformation, show it. If you\u2019re talking about pain, struggle, tension, slow it down and let them feel it.<\/span><\/p>

      Something like this:<\/b><\/p>

      \u201cMy bank account was dropping day after day. I woke up each morning with this pit in my stomach, knowing I had less time, fewer options, and no real plan.<\/span><\/p>

      Then one morning, I saw a notice on my phone that literally made me throw up.<\/span><\/p>

      I had to tell my wife the truth.<\/span><\/p>

      I walked through the door, cotton-mouthed and sweaty. Before I even spoke, she knew.<\/span><\/p>

      I told her\u2026 we\u2019re 30 days from losing our house. And that\u2019s when the light left her eyes.<\/span><\/p>

      That\u2019s presence. That\u2019s how you pull people in.<\/span><\/p>

      1. Tension keeps attention<\/b><\/li><\/ol>

        The best presentations aren\u2019t lectures. They\u2019re pretty much like a Netflix series, they keep you on the edge of your seat.<\/span><\/p>

        If you\u2019re just dumping facts, you\u2019re losing people. Every story, every idea needs a twist, a cliffhanger, a \u201cwhat happens next?\u201d Add open loops & surprises.<\/span><\/p>

        Instead of <\/b>\u201cHere\u2019s what I\u2019m going to tell you today\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>

        Try,<\/b>\u201cThere\u2019s one mistake almost every presenter makes, and it\u2019s killing your results. I\u2019ll tell you what it is in a second. But first\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>

        That\u2019s tension. That\u2019s what keeps people hooked.<\/span><\/p>

        If your presentation isn\u2019t:<\/b><\/p>

        1. Grabbing attention in the first 10 seconds<\/span><\/li>
        2. Bringing real energy<\/span><\/li>
