What’s up?
Welcome to The $100 Entrepreneur, a series I created to shake things up and bring business lessons back to the street level, literally.
In this series, I do something a little crazy. I head out into the real world, walk up to random entrepreneurs, and hand them $100 to have a conversation with me on the spot.
No scripts. No fancy studios. Just me, them, a raw conversation, and $100 in cash on the table.
At the end of each conversation, they get to decide if my feedback and advice were valuable.
If they find it helpful? They hand the $100 back. If not? They keep the cash.
This series isn’t just 100 bucks and who gets to finally keep it, even though that’s the catch and the most fun part. It’s about sitting down with everyday entrepreneurs and digging into their real challenges, their doubts, their wins, and the things that keep them up at night.
The spirit behind starting The $100 Entrepreneur series was never about being polished.
It was about reminding myself, and hopefully reminding you, that you don’t have to have it all figured out from Day 1. You don’t need the perfect business plan, the perfect pitch, or the perfect product.
You just have to show up.
Have the conversation.
Take the next step.
Even if it’s messy.
Even if it’s awkward.
Even if all you have is $100 and an idea.
That’s how I started.
That’s how most entrepreneurs start.
And that’s what this series is all about.
Alright, enough from me. Let’s jump straight into the episodes!
In this episode, I sit down with Omar Foster, an incredible entrepreneur and the founder of Social City Gym.
Omar has built more than just a gym, he’s built a community. A place where people don’t just show up to lift weights, but where they feel seen, supported, and connected.
From the moment we started talking, what struck me about Omar was his heart for people.
He’s not just in the fitness business, he’s in the people business. His passion for creating a space where members feel like family, where the gym becomes a second home, is what truly makes Social City Gym stand out.
But like all entrepreneurs, Omar has faced his share of challenges.
In our conversation, he opened up about the hurdles of running a gym in a competitive market, the struggles of getting visibility, and how tough it can be to stay consistent when life throws curveballs.
What I loved most was Omar’s openness to feedback and his hunger to keep learning and growing.
We spoke about:
- How to lean deeper into the community-first messaging that sets his brand apart.
- Simple, authentic ways to tell his story and attract his people.
- And how to not overthink the tools or tactics but instead focus on the conversations and relationships that fuel growth.
I hope this conversation with Omar reminds you that you don’t need a perfect plan or a huge budget to build something meaningful.
You just need to start, serve the people in front of you, and stay connected to your why.
And of course… you’ll have to watch the episode to see if Omar gave me the $100 back or decided to keep it 😉
We’ve got more episodes coming soon, so stay tuned for more real, raw, and unfiltered conversations from The $100 Entrepreneur.
